Psalm 111 Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. The works of the Lord are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them. His work is honorable and glorious, and His righteousness endures forever. He has made His wonderful works to be rememered; the Lord is gracious and full of compassion. He has given food to those who fear Him; He will ever be mindful ot His covenant. He has declared to His people the power ot His works, in giving them the heritage of the nations. The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure. (isn't that beautiful!) They stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: Holy and awesome if His name. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdome; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.

It will not do to say that you have no special call to go to China. With these facts before you and with the command of the Lord Jesus to go and preach the gospel to every creature, you need rather to ascertain whether you have a special call to stay at home -Hudson Taylor This quote by Taylor have been going over and over in my head this evening. Makes me think alot about what He wants me to do versus what I want to do. One of my favorite artists, Andrew Peterson, wrote these words down...he wrote them in relation to Abraham and Sarah following the Lord into an unknown land. But the same can be applied to us today, how do we respond to the unknown situations ahead of us? Do we glorify Him in the circumstance? Where are we putting our strength? Are we willing to obey? - - - Holy is the Lord, Holy is the Lord. And the Lord I will obey, Lord, help me I don't know...the way. - - - ~Psalm 111~

I decided to keep everything on Tues/Thurs and leave Mon/Wed/Fri open for piano lessons, bible studies, lunch with people, studying, and traveling. Pray that I would use my time wisely for His service and for His glory alone.

For Christmas, my sister Heather got me the book title "Angola Beloved" by T. Ernest Wilson. Of course, I'm loving every minute of time spent in the book! It's so neat to see how Wilson was affected by different missionaries and despite people saying he couldn't do it or he couldn't afford it...he still went. Wilson wanted to rely fully upon the Lord and saw no reason in telling others his needs, rather he told the Lord and the Lord provided from that point. What a neat story of faith, reminds me quite abit about George Mueller. A portion that really struck me was when he first arrived in Chilonda, Angola. He was talking with an elder of the meeting there named Sanji. He was one of the very first converts of Central Africa and when he returned to his village after his conversion at a young age, he wanted to immediately tell ALL the people in his tribe! But in the African culture, the younger men do not have a voice. This was true in the tribes in Zambia also.....

Have you ever been emotionally moved by something? Maybe the birth of a new baby, or perhaps it was that scene in Little Women when Beth is saying her sweet goodbye to her dear sister Joe March, it might have even been the Word of God that moved you when God revealed something important to your hungry soul , it could have been the warm hug from a friend when you were having "one-of-those-kind-of-days," or maybe you've seen the childlike prayer of a lost sheep coming into His fold. There are so many things we can be moved by... ... but what was our Lord and Savior moved by? Mark 1:41 says, " Then Jesus, moved with compassion , stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, 'I am willing; be cleansed.' " Matthew 9:36 tells us, "But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd." There are many references that speak of Jesus being moved with ...

Well...to be completely honest with this screen I am looking at (and perhaps you are viewing) I am feeling a mix of emotions at the moment: nervousness anticipation joy thankfulness pangs of hunger for the fresh chocolate chip cookies lying on the counter and excitement as I jump into this new world of " b l o g g i n g ! ! ! "
