John 15:7-15 (Amplified)

This is the AMPLIFIED version of John 15:7-15.

However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you]. And when He comes, He will convict and convince the world and bring demonstration to it about sin and about righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God) and about judgment: About sin, because they do not believe in Me [trust in, rely on, and adhere to Me];About righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God), because I go to My Father, and you will see Me no longer; About judgment, because the ruler (evil genius, prince) of this world [Satan] is judged and condemned and sentence already is passed upon him. I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or to take them upon you or to grasp them now. But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you. Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.

A couple questions:
Are you in close fellowship with the Lord? 
Are you walking in the Spirit? 
How often is our prayer life centered out of the desire to see the Holy Spirit work in convicting, demonstrating, and judging? 
How often do we (in our own flesh) decide to convict, demonstrate, and judge?


And those who belong to Christ Jesus, the Messiah, have crucified the flesh with its passions and appetites and desires. If we live by the Holy Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit. Let us not be vainglorious and self-conceited, competitive and challenging and provoking and irritating to one another, envying and being jealous of one another. Galatians 5:24-26

grateful that Jesus hasn't left us alone in this world...

Where do I begin to describe all that the LORD has been teaching my little heart about Himself? There is no way I could resist the tempation to put this little "story" on here that happened to me today - I have never laughed so hard nor been so stunned by a 2-year-olds perception. Here it goes: I was at Target in between class period just browsing around...being really bored because I didn't need to buy anything and I wasn't looking for anything. But I found a cute and modest dress on the 75% rack for only 4 dollars! It was black and had red flowers printed abstractly on it. I picked it up and was rummaging around to see if there were any more great dress deals (because I LOVE a bargain!). Suddenly, this little boy with blond hair and blue eyes comes up to me...he looks up at me, scrunches his little face and says with utmost curiosity, "Why are you buying a spiderman suit?" People Need The Lord

Last weekend was quite the adventure...my stomach was constantly filled with many butterflies flying around in my stomach. Hahaha - but as Mr. Kelderman says "If you train them to fly all in the right directions...then it won't be so bad!" : )- Perhaps you are wondering as to why I was overtaken by nervousness last weekend. Well...Anne-Marie G., Emma, Marie, Kimberly H. and myself were all asked to come speak at a Ladies Missionary Day at the Northside Bible Chapel. The idea of me speaking made me quite nervous : / It was hosted by a group of young girls called the M&M Club; which stood for Mission & Ministry...isn't that wonderful? These girls get together (their fearless leaders are Emily Peters and Jenny Keane) every month with a desire to grow closer to the Lord, help out their chapels and encourage other believers across the world. They put together a Saturday that was set aside for Missions...we all came to speak and share what the Lord had done in our l...
